WHAT I'M READING
You will have to jump down to the blog post below this on to see my brand new TBR pile. I've already added to it, as well. Somehow or other, I missed This Shattered World AND I found a promising new book called Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White.
However, I just, just finished reading Unspoken, and I enjoyed it. At this point in my life, that's like a rave review. I've set down so many books without finishing them that I could be a goodreads reviewer. (No, I didn't just say that. I would never.)
WHAT I'M WRITING
My co-authors and I are down to our last pass through of our book, which Sheena has titled "The Book Formerly Known as Pyromancy." It has a brand spanking new title, but I can't share it with you yet. Soon!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW
Other than my new book title and my new reading list? Not much. And that's OK. Have a lovely week, my friends!
Oooh Shiny New Title!!! For the Win.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a spectacular week!
Bahaha! Totally laughing about the Goodreads reviewer comment. No doubt. I've been having a rough time getting into books lately, too. ILLUSIONS OF FATE is on my TBR pile. The cover alone was enough to hook me. Can't wait to hear what the new title is for your WiP! :D Have a great week, Melanie!
ReplyDeleteJust keep swimming is extremely good advice :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Sometimes the best thing to do is just keep swimming! Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteVery good advice. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I just checked out your new TBR list and MORTAL HEART is on mine too. It came out when I was on vacation so I need to get off my butt and buy it already, since I've been waiting for it for ages. A shiny new title for your book? Nice! Looking forward to hearing what it is! Have a super week! :)
ReplyDeleteI just finished This Shattered World and I loved it - really looking forward to Illusions of Fate as well (obsessively checking my library record and waiting for the hold to come in). Also waiting for the 3rd Unspoken book - I raced through the first two and they helped get me out of some "meh" reading feelings after a few misses. I hate reading slumps!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your book, and I enjoyed the Finding Nemo clip. Just keep swimming is great advice. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week! Oh, you also mentioned over at my blog, being interested in learning more about renku--you can Google John Carley and "Introduction to Renku" -- it's a great place to start. There are many different kinds of renku too, and many rules to follow. There is a learning curve, that is for sure. Also, if you aren't familiar with haiku, I would start there, and there is also the rengay which is a simpler form of linked, collaborative poetry. And, I hope I haven't confused you too much. lol :)
ReplyDeleteI also have a renku posted on my blog if you'd like to check it out: http://grleblanc.blogspot.ca/2014/10/the-taste-of-curacao-junicho-renku.html
