I have a pretty nice list of books I want to read, but after I've finished them, they just float off into the ether somewhere. When I'm asked to recommend books, I can only ever think of my top two or three. So this year, I've decided to keep a list.
Each month, I hope to read something old, something new, something to my children and something self-published. But I'll cut myself some slack if I usually just read something new. My rating system:
5 = I can't wait to tell everyone about this book. READ IT NOW!
4 = I'm glad I read this book. Definitely read it if you think it sounds good.
3 = Meh. You might like it more than I did.
2 = I made it through, but I wish I hadn't wasted my time.
1 = Did Not Finish*
*If I didn't finish a book or didn't like a book because it wasn't my thing, I won't even mention it here. 1 and 2 star reviews are reserved for books that I was shockingly disappointed in.
